Jewellery Care · Keep it luminous

Wear it often.

Your Rangtarini piece is built to last — with a little care, it will stay luminous for years. A few gentle habits keep the metal bright, the stones clear, and the finish as beautiful as the day it left our bench.

Made to be lived in

Handcrafted to last a lifetime.

Each Rangtarini piece is made by hand to be worn and loved, not locked away. Fine jewellery only asks for a little attention in return — keep it away from moisture and chemicals, store it gently, and it will hold its glow for generations.

The essentials

Everyday care.

Five simple habits
A minute a day
01Last on, first offPut your jewellery on after dressing, and remove it before bathing, swimming, or exercising. Water, steam, and sweat are the quickest way to dull a finish.
02Keep away from chemicalsAvoid contact with perfumes, lotions, and hairspray. Apply them first and let them settle before you put your pieces on.
03Wipe after every wearGently wipe with a soft, dry cloth after each wear to remove moisture and oils. This one habit does more than anything else to keep the shine.
04Store airtight, in the darkKeep each piece in the airtight pouch provided, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Sealed and shaded, silver stays brighter for far longer.
05Keep pieces separateStore pieces individually to prevent scratching. Chains, stones, and polished surfaces mark one another when they sit together.
Keep it away from

What dulls the shine.

Everyday products and elements are the most common cause of tarnish and clouded stones. A moment's care avoiding these keeps your piece looking new.

At-home cleaning

Restoring the shine.

If a piece looks a little tired, a gentle clean at home brings it back. Always be soft — never scrub, and keep water away from strung kundan and glued settings.

01
Wipe with a soft cloth

Use the polishing cloth provided, or any lint-free soft cloth. Buff gently in straight lines to lift oils and light tarnish.

02
For a deeper clean

Dip in lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, wipe softly with your fingertips, then rinse and pat completely dry. Silver and gold-plated pieces only — avoid on kundan, pearls, and delicate stones.

03
Dry thoroughly

Moisture is the enemy of shine. Dry every surface and setting fully before returning the piece to its airtight pouch.

04
Never use harsh cleaners

Avoid toothpaste, chemical dips, and abrasive brushes — they strip plating and scratch stones. When in doubt, send it to us for a professional polish.

Know your metal

Care by material.

Each of our materials wears a little differently. Here's how to keep every kind of Rangtarini piece at its best.

01
Sterling silver

925 silver naturally darkens over time — this patina is normal, not a fault. A soft polishing cloth restores its brightness in moments; store airtight to slow tarnish.

02
Kundan & Jadau

Uncut stones are set with natural lac, so keep these pieces away from water and heat. Never submerge them — wipe only the metal gently with a dry cloth.

03
Gold-plated

Plating is a fine surface layer. Handle gently, keep it away from friction and chemicals, and clean only with a dry cloth to preserve the finish for years.
